Welcome to the official website of the Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston.  SLAGH is a voluntary professional association of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender attorneys, judges, paralegals, law students and allies who provide a LGBT presence within the greater Houston legal community.

We welcome new members who share in our desire to encourage the recognition of civil and human rights, promote sensitivity to legal issues faced by LGBT community and those living with HIV, assure the fair and just treatment of members of the LGBT community, provide opportunities for LGBT attorneys, judges, law students and their allies to interact in a professional setting, build alliances with other minority bar associations and legal organizations, and enhance the practice and professional expertise of lawyers who serve or are members of the LGBT community.

SLAGH offers four CLE opportunities every year.  If you have a suggestion for a future CLE, please let us know.  Send your suggestions to one of our Board Members or to our email address.

2014 Emerging Leader Award Recipient Announced

At SLAGH's annual meeting on April 30th, we presented our second annual Emerging Leader Award to Larry E. Evans, Jr., including a check for $2,500.  Larry will graduate from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law.  Larry's work in forming OUTLaw TMSL, the first LGBT organization on the TSU campus is just one of many qualities that embody a future leader.  We applaud Larry's efforts in the fight for equality.  Congratulations Larry!
